Autoresponders

Pro

Send automatic replies to form respondents.

Create autoresponder emails that are automatically sent to your respondents after they submit your form.

Personalise each email with information from their submission, include a copy of their form results, and control when the email is sent using Conditional Logic.

# Create an Autoresponder

To create an autoresponder, head to Settings > Emails and click Add Email.

Select an Email Field as the To address, then customise the Subject and Body with your own content and form references, such as the respondent’s Name:

Once you’re done, click Save and Publish the form.

# Personalized Emails

Autoresponders can include information from the respondent’s submission, allowing you to create personalized replies without manually sending each email.

For example, a user fills out your form with their name and email address:

After they click Send, the autoresponder is sent automatically:

Change the default Sender for autoresponder emails from notifications@funforms.com to your own domain so all emails sent to your respondents come from “you”.

# Send Them a Copy

You can also include the respondent’s Form Results in the autoresponder, allowing you to Send Them a Copy of the information they submitted.

This is useful for applications, registrations, enquiries, bookings and other forms where respondents may need a record of their submission.

# Conditional Autoresponders

By default, an autoresponder can be sent immediately after a form is submitted.

You can also use Send When with Conditional Logic to control when the email is sent. This allows you to send different emails, or only send an email, when specific conditions in the form response are met.

For example, you could send a particular follow-up email only when a respondent selects a specific option, provides a particular answer, or meets another condition you’ve configured.

# Delayed Autoresponders

You can also use Send When to hold an email back and send it after a set delay, rather than immediately.

Choose After a Delay, then set a number of hours or days — the email sends that long after the form is submitted. For example, send a thank-you straight away, then automatically follow up with a feedback request a couple of days later.

That’s it — create personalized email responses, send respondents a copy of their results, and automate follow-ups based on their answers.
