Excel Online Plugin

Use the Excel Online Plugin to automatically send new form results to an Excel workbook. It’s useful for keeping a spreadsheet of your submissions, reporting on your data, or analyzing results.

Before connecting the plugin, we recommend finishing your form. We use your form field labels as the column titles in your Excel workbook. You can change them later if needed.

# Set Up the Plugin

Open the Plugins page for your form, select Excel Online, and click Connect to Microsoft:

This opens a Microsoft authorization window where you can select the account you want to use:

Click Allow to grant the permissions required for the Excel Online Plugin to create and update an Excel workbook with your form results:

Once connected, you’ll see the account used for authorization and a link to the Excel workbook created for your form:

# See It in Action

First, create a form and add some fields:

Connect the Excel Online Plugin, then open the linked Excel workbook. Your form field labels will be added as column titles:

The createdAt column is added automatically and records when each result was submitted, using your chosen Timezone.

Now submit a response through your form:

The new result will then appear in your Excel workbook:

That’s it! Your new form results will be added to the connected Excel workbook automatically.
