Home Access & Key Authorization Form

A key-holding authorization template — how the cleaner gets in, and the client’s written consent to hold a key, recorded and signed.

Description

When a cleaner holds a key or an entry code, it’s worth recording clearly — how they get in, what they’re authorized to access, and the client’s written consent. This form captures that, so key-holding is handled professionally and both sides have a clear, signed record. It sets out the access arrangement in one place: the entry method (key, key safe, smart lock, alarm code), which areas the cleaner may access, how the key is stored and returned, and the client’s authorization and emergency contact. For the client it’s reassurance their key is handled responsibly; for the cleaner it’s clear permission and protection. Use it whenever you’ll hold a client’s key or codes. Free, brandable, and it turns an informal “the key’s under the mat” into a proper, consented access record.

Template FAQs

Common questions about the Home Access & Key Authorization Form — what it captures, when to use it, and how to make it your own.

Why record key-holding in writing?

Because holding someone’s key is a position of trust — a written record of how you get in, what you’re authorized to access, and the client’s consent protects both sides and shows the service is run professionally.

How is my key kept secure?

Keys are stored securely, labeled without your address, and only used for your scheduled cleaning. The form records the arrangement and your emergency contact, so there’s a clear, agreed process around your key.

What if I give an alarm code?

It’s recorded here and handled confidentially, used only to access your home for cleaning. Note any arming/disarming steps on the form so the cleaner follows them correctly and doesn’t trigger a false alarm.

Can I limit which areas are accessed?

Yes — the form lets you set any no-go rooms or areas. The cleaner accesses only what you authorize, so you stay in control of what’s cleaned and what’s left.

What happens if I cancel the service?

Your key is returned to you (or securely destroyed if it’s a copy, as you prefer), and access details are removed. The form notes your preference so there’s no ambiguity when the arrangement ends.

Is the form free?

Yes — free with a Fun Forms account, fully customizable, and it embeds on your site or shares as a link.
