Tree Survey & Quote Request Form

A tree survey template — trees, work, height and access up front, so an arborist can quote without a wasted site visit.

Description

Tree quotes turn on what a surveyor can’t guess from a phone call: how many trees, what species, how tall, what work, and whether a chipper and truck can even reach them. This form gathers all of it, so the quote that comes back is the one you’ll actually charge, not a rough figure revised on site. It opens on the things that set the price and the crew: the trees and roughly how tall, the work wanted — fell, reduce, prune, deadwood — site access for machinery and chip, and crucially whether the tree is protected by a TPO or sits in a conservation area, which changes the timeline entirely. Better to know on the form than discover it at the kerb. Put it behind your “get a quote” button and turn vague “how much to sort my tree?” messages into priceable jobs. Free, fully brandable, and it saves the drive out just to look.

Template FAQs

Common questions about the Tree Survey & Quote Request Form — what it captures, when to use it, and how to make it your own.

What do you need to quote tree work?

The trees and roughly how tall, the species if known, the work you want (felling, crown reduction, pruning, deadwooding), site access for machinery, and whether the tree is protected. That’s enough to price it accurately.

Why does access matter so much for tree work?

Because getting a chipper, truck and crew to the tree — and the brash and timber away — is half the job. A tree down a narrow side return is a very different quote to one by the drive, so access is asked up front.

Do I need permission to work on my tree?

Possibly — if it has a Tree Preservation Order you need the council’s written consent first, and in a conservation area you must give the council six weeks’ notice. The form asks so we can flag it and handle it properly.

How do I know if my tree is protected?

If you’re unsure, say so on the form — your local council holds the TPO records and we can check. Working on a protected tree without consent is an offence, so it’s always worth confirming first.

Can you quote without visiting?

Often a clear description plus photos gets you a ballpark, and many jobs we can price from that. For bigger or trickier work a site visit confirms it — but this form means the visit, if needed, is already informed.

Is the quote request free?

Yes — free with a Fun Forms account, fully customisable, and it embeds on your site or shares as a link.
