Template FAQs
Common questions about the Wood Floor Sanding & Restoration Enquiry Form — what it captures, when to use it, and how to make it your own.
How do you restore a wood floor?
By sanding back through progressive grits to clean, bare timber, then re-sealing with oil, hard-wax oil or lacquer. It removes the old worn finish, scratches and graying and leaves a fresh, protected floor.
What wood floors can you do?
Solid timber boards, parquet blocks and most engineered floors with a thick enough wear layer. Engineered floors can usually be sanded once or twice. Tell us the type on the form and we’ll confirm it can be sanded.
Can you repair damaged boards?
Often — loose, damaged or missing boards and blocks can be repaired or replaced before sanding, so the restored floor is sound as well as smart. Note any damage on the form and we’ll scope the repairs.
What finish can I have?
Oil, hard-wax oil or lacquer, in matt, satin or gloss. Oils give a natural look and are easy to patch-repair; lacquers are hard-wearing. The form lets you choose, or we’ll recommend for the room and traffic.
Is it very dusty?
Modern sanding uses dust-extraction equipment that captures the vast majority of the dust, so it’s far cleaner than it used to be. We contain and clean up, leaving the floor and room ready.
